Vision for the overall corporation project
Through common values of scouting will we work towards mutual awareness and understanding of our countries by initiating this partnership. We aim to educate our scouts on the different cultures in a way that will affect our national and local communities positively to avoid intercultural conflicts. We wish to establish a foundation for intercultural understanding irrespective of race, creed or religion, making the Guides and Scouts of both countries aware of the cultural, natural, environmental and social conditions in both countries. We wish that this project can be a place where scouts meet on “middle-ground” and explore similarities and differences and reach our common goal of better understanding. We wish to establish a framework where it will be normal that scouts from both countries are friends across borders, and that scouts and leaders will establish new subprojects inspired by and within our partnership.
Vision for the work in Denmark
Internally in KFUM-Spejderne we wish to strengthen the solidarity between Danish scouts by giving them an international experience which the can share. This international experience should not be given by certain activities, but should be visible/available through all scout activities within the partnership period.
Externally, KFUM-Spejderne wishes to broaden the mind of the Dane in general terms towards the Arabic region. This will be done by playing an active role in the Danish community and among others telling positive stories in the media. We wish to involve people from the Arabic region living in Denmark in the project, to be part of this movement, and show that scouts are cool and can make a difference.
