PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT
between Les Scouts Tunisiens and KFUM-Spejderne i Danmark
Introduction
Les Scouts Tunisiens who is a member of WOSM and WAGGGS and KFUM-Spejderne i Danmark who is a member of WOSM, have decided to establish a partnership for three years, possible five years, from August 1st, 2008 to help scouts of all ages to increase their understanding of people and culture of both countries.
Aim of partnership
Through the partnership we will work towards the mutual awareness and understanding of our countries through common values of Scouting and develop scouting in our two organizations. We wish to establish a foundation for intercultural understanding irrespective of race, creed or religion, making the Guides and Scouts of both countries aware of the cultural, natural, environmental and social conditions in both countries.
Objectives of the Partnership
The various objectives of the collaboration will be stipulated currently according to uncovering of needs, developing of ideas, and raising of funds. For every objective there shall be a detailed agreement between Les Scouts Tunisiens and KFUM-Spejderne i Danmark.
Areas of Partnership
The partnership will be expressed through, but not limited to:
- Exchange of Scouts
- Exchange ideas at National Level
- Danish - Tunisian Scout Centre
- Communication / Information
- Danish-English-Arabic dictionary
- Danish-Arabic Scout cookbook
- International online forum for scouts to meet and chat
- Training
- Attend each other’s scout training
- Help develop each other’s scout training
- Coorporation
- Common activity badge
- JOTA / JOTI connections/ activities
Funding of the Collaboration
The funding of the collaboration shall be supported by KFUM-Spejderne i Danmark as far as the necessary funds can be raised from external donors and by contributions from Les Scouts Tunisiens as far as their available resources allow. The transfer of money will be arranged in accordance with the requirements of the funding agencies and the financial regulations pertaining in the respective countries.
Working committees
KFUM-Spejderne i Danmark as well as Les Scouts Tunisiens shall form a working committee. The two working committees shall ensure that the collaboration is implemented, project plans are developed, and reports and evaluations are drawn up.
Duration of Review
The partnership agreement will run for a period of three years starting from August 1st, 2008. The partnership will then be evaluated by both organizations and continued for further two years if both organizations find it relevant and fruitful. The partnership will be subject to review and evaluation each year, latest July.
Relationship with other potential partners
Les Scouts Tunisiens and KFUM-Spejderne i Danmark shall fully inform each other if negotiations are made with other development partners concerning any project that may have an extent similar to the one descriped in the present agreement. Such arrangements with other partners shall not place any responsibility or encumbrance on the collaboration between Les Scouts Tunisiens and KFUM-Spejderne i Danmark.
